The photo was taken in early December 1950 while the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce decks out Main Street for the annual "Salute to Santa" event and parade. During this time, Roy Bryant had the Dodge agency at 401 Main St. Across the street, at 424 Main, Robert P. Mandic was selling new and used Chryslers, Plymouths and Imperials.
Owned by B.M. "Bob" Jurkovich. He started off in In the early 1920s selling and repairing Durants and Flints at 428 Main St. Newspaper ads list it as a Hudson dealership as early as 1934, but understand he started selling them in 1926. The "modern $40,000 garage" was built at 410 Main in 1944. He added the Rambler and Metropolitan lines in the 1950s. Jurkovich passed on Feb. 27, 1969.

The 410 building, shown here from a side view, was now home to The Electric Chair during the first decade of 2000s.
The building now houses JAX Bicycles.
